• Job Description: The ideal candidate would have experience with a solid modeling package (SolidWorks, ProE or equivalent), finite element software, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, fabrication & experimental methods, optical and opto-mechanical system design, as well as a solid background in mechanical engineering methods, including thermal, structural, and vibration analysis. Responsibilities will include product development and complete end-to-end design of the mechanical and opto-mechanical interfaces, as well as cutting edge development of novel opto-mechanical components. Experience with laser-based systems, remote sensing, imaging systems and Zemax (or equivalent) optical design software a plus. An advanced degree or equivalent experience in engineering or physics is desired.
